How engagements with Khalil Alsalim work.

Read this first

These terms apply to workshops, retainers, and fixed-scope projects delivered by Khalil Alsalim. They supplement any master services agreement we might sign together.

• You always work with me directly—no hidden subcontractors or junior hand-offs.
• Workstreams are scoped with written deliverables, timelines, and change-control before kickoff.
• Communication happens in the shared channels we agree on (email, Slack, Teams, or Notion).
• I maintain secure, access-controlled workspaces; shared assets stay within your approved stack.
• Weekly or bi-weekly updates summarize progress, blockers, and next actions.

• A single decision-maker empowered to approve scope, feedback, and invoices.
• Timely access to data, analytics, and stakeholders required to deliver the engagement.
• Clear disclosure of third-party obligations (legal, procurement, brand, or security).
• Written feedback on drafts or prototypes within the agreed review windows.
• Prompt payment of invoices—retainers in advance, project milestones within 15 days of invoice date.

• Material changes trigger a written change request outlining impact on timeline and fees.
• Paused projects retain scheduled slots for 15 working days; beyond that, a restart fee may apply.
• Unused retainer hours roll forward within the current quarter. They do not carry over indefinitely.
• Performance dependencies outside my control (development resourcing, vendor delays) shift timelines accordingly.

• Mutual NDAs can be executed before any confidential exchange.
• Data is handled in line with your regional policies (GDPR, DIFC, CCPA, or internal equivalents).
• Only approved processors are used: Vercel for hosting, Resend for forms, Google Workspace for communication.
• Credentials shared for the engagement are stored in your chosen password manager or revoked at project close.

• I warrant that deliverables are original, lawful, and created with reasonable professional care.
• My total liability is capped at the fees paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim.
• Indirect or consequential damages (lost profit, loss of data, reputational harm) are excluded.
• You remain the data controller for customer or user information within your systems.

• Either party may terminate with 14 days’ written notice; work completed to date is invoiced immediately.
• If payment is more than 21 days overdue, services pause until the account is settled.
• Breach of confidentiality or unlawful use of deliverables allows immediate termination.

Governing law & venue

These terms follow the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Disputes are discussed in good faith first; unresolved matters fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Dubai Courts.
